Education
Learning about wine can take many forms, however one thing unites them all and that is fun. Being a wine expert is not the domain of crinkly old men. Sharon is one of the new breed of wine educators ready and willing to share her knowledge with you. Sharon has developed a range of practical methods to empower you to confidentially draw your own conclusions about wine.
Educational events can range from networking events, tastings, and masterclasses to dedicated staff training sessions.
Masterclasses
For the wine buffs or those that think they are, Sharon can run a masterclass to help them sharpen their wine skills. This can be conducted with a small group of key staff or clients or organised for a group of up to 30 people. (Clients: Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron)
Wine Courses
Sharon can teach your staff how to analyse wine, select wines from a wine list, and speak confidently about wine when entertaining or networking with clients.
For example, ‘Introduction to Wine Appreciation Courses’ conducted for customers of Ultimo Wine Centre explored the classic wines from around the world May 2011 & June 2011. Simon Osbeisten Ultimo Wine Centre Store Manager; “Everyone left the course feeling great about analyzing wine, no one felt intimidated or silly.”
Sommelier/Wait Staff Training
Sharon can teach your team some practical skills to help them appear even more knowledgeable in their role. And when they are more confident, the client will receive a better experience.
Corporate Training
As professionals climb the corporate ladder, their role can become more and more client facing with activities including networking, business development etc. As part of mandatory professional training, Sharon can incorporate a session that helps empower professionals to purchase wines, navigate their way around wine lists in restaurants and communicate effectively about wine generally.
